We are the UK subsidiary of ABI Group, Germany. We service and supply the company’s complete range of specialist piling rigs and associated equipment within the UK and Irish construction markets.
We are looking to recruit an experienced coded welder to add to our specialist support team in Northampton.
Reporting to our Service Manager, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for our welding shop. You will also become involved with all aspects of our service support activities, making this an interesting and varied opportunity for the right person.
Training will be provided as required for these additional activities.
Essential requirements are as follows:
- Evidence of formal training and qualifications.
- Coded to a recognised standard in the use of MMA/MIG welding.
- Familiarity working with a broad range of material types and thicknesses.
- A team player with a positive can-do attitude.
- Good attention to detail demonstrating consistent high-quality workmanship.
- Compliance with all company processes and procedures.
- A background in heavy engineering and/or plant and machinery would be a distinct advantage.
Hours of work are Monday – Friday between 8:00am to 5:00pm (start/finish times to be agreed).
Competitive earnings, including some overtime. Private pension are included as are 25-days annual holiday leave, plus public holidays.
