Are you an experienced Vehicle Preparation Technician looking for a fresh challenge with a group that is growing, investing and moving forward?
Ron Brooks Group is looking for a talented Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our team at our Ilkeston Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of our vehicle preparation operation, working solely on our new and used sales vehicles. You’ll play an important role in making sure every vehicle that leaves our sales departments is presented to the highest possible standard.
And with an exciting portfolio of brands, no two days will be quite the same.
The brands you’ll work with
You’ll have the opportunity to prepare vehicles across an exciting and expanding range of new-car brands, including:
Toyota | OMODA | JAECOO | Chery | LEPAS | XPENG | Geely
Alongside these new vehicles, you’ll also work on our used sales stock, ensuring every vehicle is prepared, presented and ready for its next owner.
What you’ll be doing
As a Vehicle Preparation Technician, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical preparation of new and used sales vehicles, helping us deliver the quality and standards our customers expect from Ron Brooks Group.
Your role will include:
- Carrying out vehicle preparation work on new and used sales vehicles
- Completing pre-sale inspections and checks
- Identifying and rectifying mechanical issues
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs where required
- Ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for customer handover
- Working to manufacturer and group standards
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
- Working closely with the wider sales and aftersales teams to keep vehicle preparation moving efficiently
- Taking pride in the quality of every vehicle that leaves the centre
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands that the little details matter.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Preparation Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical skills
- The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs confidently
- A high standard of workmanship
- A positive, professional attitude
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a busy team
- A full UK driving licence
Manufacturer experience is welcome, but we’re more interested in your skills, attitude and ambition than simply the brands you’ve worked on before.
