Director of Systems & Transformation
Location: Peterborough HQ (Full-Time, Office-Based)
Salary: £120,000-£150,000 + Performance Bonus
Reporting to: CEO & Executive Leadership Team
The Opportunity
Trade Mastermind is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking a Director of Systems & Transformation to lead the development of the systems, processes, automation, and reporting capabilities required for the next stage of scale.
This is not a traditional IT leadership role. It is a strategic business transformation position responsible for making the organisation simpler, more connected, more automated, and increasingly data-driven.
Working directly with the CEO and Executive Team, you will design and implement the operational infrastructure that enables growth without continually adding complexity, administration, or headcount.
The Role
You will take ownership of the systems, processes, data, and automation landscape across the business, ensuring that technology supports commercial objectives and operational excellence.
A key focus will be the continued development of HubSpot as a central business platform, alongside improving system integration, managing external technology partners, and identifying opportunities where new technology can deliver value.
Beyond systems, you will work across every major department, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, Education, Events, Recruitment, and HR. By understanding how each function operates, you will identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, duplication, and gaps in accountability before redesigning processes to be simpler, scalable, and clearly documented.
Automation will be a core part of the role. You will continuously challenge existing ways of working, asking, "Why does a person need to do this?" and implementing solutions that reduce manual activity, improve communication, streamline workflows, and enhance both employee and customer experiences.
You will also lead the development of a robust business intelligence capability, creating a single source of truth across the organisation. Through platforms such as Power BI, you will provide leadership teams with clear visibility of performance across revenue, sales, marketing, customer retention, cash collection, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months, you will establish HubSpot as a central operating platform, implement clear and scalable processes across key departments, significantly reduce manual reporting, improve data quality and visibility, and increase automation throughout the business.
You will create greater alignment between departments, provide leadership with meaningful real-time performance insights, and build the foundations that allow the business to grow efficiently without increasing headcount at the same rate.
About You
You will bring senior-level experience in business transformation, systems implementation, process improvement, automation, business intelligence, or change management. Experience with HubSpot and Power BI is highly desirable.
Whilst you do not need to be a software developer, you will possess a strong understanding of technology and be confident working with developers, analysts, agencies, and technology partners to deliver measurable business outcomes.
You are commercially minded, analytical, and naturally inclined to simplify complexity. You challenge inefficient ways of working, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and have a proven track record of turning ideas into successfully implemented solutions.
