Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within our Seafront care home. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of those in their care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and support.
Full time position with alternative weekend working
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support individuals with daily activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light domestic chores.
- Follow personalised care plans to meet the specific needs of each individual.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in health to senior staff.
- Promote independence whilst ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to listen attentively and respond empathetically.
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately and manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation electronically.
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing and independence.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
