We are looking for a Counter-fraud and Investigations Manager to join Anglian Water and establish a proactive counter-fraud and investigations capability that supports our growing business and supply chain.
This is a high-impact role focused on protecting Anglian Water from fraud, bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest and unethical behaviour, with particular emphasis on supply chain, procurement and third-party risk. You will lead complex and sensitive investigations, design investigation frameworks and strengthen controls across areas that are critical to the delivery of our ambitious capital programme.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work closely with Procurement, Commercial Assurance, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, HR and senior operational leaders. You will lead on establishing a specialist function, potentially including counter-fraud forensic and data analyst capability, building a data-led approach to detecting, preventing and responding to fraud and integrity risks.
Manage investigations relating to suppliers, contractors, procurement activities, payments, invoicing and financial transactions; and where needed manage or contribute to internally-focused investigations
Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial Assurance and senior stakeholders to build fraud awareness and integrity capability
Experience working alongside HR, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit or Finance within a structured governance model
Professional accreditation such as CCAB, CFE, ACFS, PIP, APCIP or equivalent
Desirable: Background in forensic accounting, audit, compliance or investigations. Experience in infrastructure, utilities, construction or regulated environments. Experience building investigation frameworks, fraud prevention processes or counter-fraud teams.
