Key Responsibilities of Junior Buyer:
Include but not limited to:
- Raising purchase orders
- Obtaining, reviewing, and comparing supplier quotations
- Chasing deliveries, resolving supply issues, and ensuring timelines are met
- Ensure raw materials and production supplies are ordered accurately and delivered on time to support production
- Set up and maintain material, supplier, and planning system data in the MRP/ERP system.
- Generate data to support the department's key performance indicators.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Procurement or buying experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable speaking with suppliers and chasing information where required
What's on offer:
- Salary of £24,000-£30,000 depending on experience
- Working hours 7am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-1pm Friday
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Pay: £25,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
