The Role
We are looking for a Production Operative to join our busy and friendly team. This is a varied role involving shellfish cooking, learning traditional fish smoking techniques, and helping to prepare and pack customer orders to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- “Dispatching” and cooking crab and lobster
- Learning the operation of our traditional fish smoking kiln
- Packing customer orders for courier dispatch
- Working with colleagues in the production and dispatch areas
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and cleanliness
- Ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
- Positive, reliable, and willing-to-learn attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Food Safety Certificate (desirable)
- Previous experience in food production or seafood processing (desirable, but not essential)
- Knowledge of fish and shellfish (desirable)
Full training will be provided.
