Duties and responsibilities related to the Housekeeping Supervisor role
- Lead, motivate and support the Housekeeping team by providing regular feedback, coaching and on-the-job training to maintain high performance and service standards.
- Conduct daily team briefings, allocate tasks and monitor productivity to ensure efficient operation and timely completion of duties.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back-of-house spaces to ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation and compliance with hotel standards.
- Monitor room statuses and housekeeping tasks through Hotsos, ensuring requests, maintenance issues and guest requirements are actioned promptly.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment, trolleys, storage areas and pantries are maintained, well-stocked, organised and in safe working condition.
- Handle guest requests, concerns and housekeeping-related complaints professionally, taking immediate action to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Support stock control processes, including inventory checks, supply monitoring and accurate reporting of departmental requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety procedures, reporting hazards, incidents and maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
About you
You are an organised and detail-oriented housekeeping professional with previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel environment. You have strong communication skills, a passion for delivering excellent guest service, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced setting. A positive attitude, flexible approach, and commitment to maintaining high standards are essential.
