About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated QC Supervisor to lead day-to-day quality control activities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong laboratory background who enjoys maintaining high standards, and ensuring products are tested and released in line with internal procedures and GMP expectations.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise the QC team, coordinating daily workloads, priorities, and testing schedules.
· Ensure raw materials, packaging components, and finished products are sampled, tested, and reviewed against approved specifications.
· Review analytical data, laboratory records, and quality documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
· Lead investigations relating to out-of-specification results, deviations, and complaints.
· Generate change controls, risk assessments, and stability protocols.
· Conduct compendial reviews, technical transfer and method validation.
· Participate in client audits and regulatory inspections.
· Maintain effective control of laboratory equipment and reagent stock levels.
· Promote data integrity, good documentation practice, and adherence to SOPs, GMP, health and safety, and site quality standards.
· Coach, train, and develop QC Analysts and Microbiologists, advancing performance, competence, and continuous improvement.
· Work closely with Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and other site functions to support batch release, operational priorities, and new product introductions.
About You
· Previous experience in Quality Control and laboratory operations.
· Good working knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and documentation standards.
· Experience supervising, mentoring, or coordinating a laboratory team.
· Strong attention to detail, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Confident reviewing technical records and escalating risks or compliance concerns.
· Proficient in HPLC, FTIR, membrane filtration, and statistical trending techniques.
· A qualification in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
