Due to an expanding order book, we are looking for a reliable and hard-working Fab Shop Assistant to hit the ground running and join our manufacturing team.
The Role
As a Fab Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial, hands-on role in bringing our systems to life and supporting the wider fabrication team. You will be working in a clean, well-equipped environment where your hard work is valued.
Day-to-day duties will include:
Preparing surfaces and parts to a high standard ready for powder coating.
Securely hanging parts on hooks, racks, and jigs.
Cutting and drilling steel to accurate specifications.
The safe manual handling and lifting of heavy or bulky fabricated components.
Working collaboratively with a hardworking and friendly manufacturing team to ensure smooth workshop operations.
Working Hours & Perks
We believe in a strong work-life balance and treating the team right. This is a 30-hour per week role, with flexible options to suit:
Working hours option 1: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Enjoy a three-day weekend!)
Working hours option 2: Monday to Friday: 6 hours a day (Flexible schedule between 8-5)
Breaks: A dedicated dinner break

Leave: 25 days a year holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata).
What We’re Looking For
- Comfortable using workshop tools for cutting and drilling steel.
- A keen eye for detail when preparing surfaces for the powder coating process.
- A highly reliable, punctual team player who thrives in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a fabrication shop or workshop environment is beneficial but not strictly essential for the right hardworking candidate.
