Job Summary
We are seeking 2 dedicated Kitchen Porters to join our busy bakery team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our bakery environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high-standard setting. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
The shifts we are offering is necessary 7 days a week - 6am-12pm however extra jobs and roles are available to extend hours. For example deep cleaning & bake production support.
The role could work for a part timer and full timer splitting Monday - Friday for a Full timer and Saturday & Sunday for the Part timer for example. However flexibility for the role is key.
Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and trays efficiently
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces and kitchen equipment
- Organising and storing supplies appropriately
- Supporting the bakery team during busy service periods
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintaining a tidy and organised workspace throughout shifts
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen porter type role is desirable but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles can be beneficial
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and working as part of a team is essential
The role if desired allows for growth in a bakery environment and has the potential to grow into a different bakery role for the right candidate.
