Solar Panel Roof Installer – New Build Housing

About the Role
We are looking for experienced Solar Panel Roof Installers to join a growing renewable energy team working on new-build residential developments across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. ( you will be kept to your area )
The role will involve the roof installation of Solar PV panels on newly constructed homes, ensuring all systems and components are installed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a great opportunity for experienced roofers, solar installers or construction professionals looking for regular work within the growing renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Solar PV panels onto residential rooftops on new-build properties.
- Safely access and work on pitched and tiled roofs.
- Install roof hooks, rails, mounting systems and solar panels.
- Position and secure panels in accordance with installation specifications.
- Work as part of a team to complete installations efficiently and to schedule.
- Follow all site health and safety requirements.
- Ensure installations meet the required quality standards.
- Identify and report any issues with roofing or installation areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Take care of tools, equipment and materials.
- Work professionally alongside site managers, electricians and other trades.
- Travel between new-build housing developments across the region.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in roofing, Solar PV installation or a similar construction role.
- Comfortable working at height and on pitched roofs.
- Good understanding of roof safety and working-at-height procedures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- Own basic hand tools and PPE.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience installing Solar PV panels.
- Roofing or construction background.
- Solar PV installation qualification.
- Experience working on new-build housing developments.
- PASMA or IPAF qualification.
- Working at Heights training.
- CSCS/ECS card.
