Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment, promoting repeat business
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards diligently at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality, particularly within bars or restaurants
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure timely service delivery
- Friendly demeanour with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
