We're looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our daytime team at Cowbridge Residential Care Home, a welcoming 24-bed residential care home where our residents are at the heart of everything we do.
In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care to our elderly residents, offering both practical support and emotional reassurance. You'll help residents feel safe, respected, understood and valued, while supporting them to maintain their independence and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities

Support residents with personal care, maintaining their privacy, dignity, and respect at all times.

Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities that enhance their quality of life.

Deliver care in a person-centred manner, tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Conduct regular wellbeing and health checks in accordance with individual care plans.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Accurately record and maintain resident information using digital documentation systems.

Promptly report any incidents, changes, or concerns to senior team members.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to progress to an Enhanced Healthcare Assistant role through our comprehensive training and competency programme. This development pathway will enable you to:

Safely administer medication following competency assessments.

Carry out basic clinical observations and report concerns appropriately.

Lead by example, promoting high standards of person-centred care.

Support and mentor new colleagues during their induction and development.

Work alongside Team Leads to support the smooth running of each shift.

Build the knowledge and confidence needed to progress into senior care roles in the future.
Pay Scale - No qualifications

Pay Scale - Care Certificate or above qualification in care
(Don't have your Care Certificate yet, we'll support you to achieve it!)
