ABOUT US
Barbourne Brook is a specialist customs consultancy and technology business based in Worcester. We help UK importers, brokers, and international trade businesses manage duty, compliance, and customs data. Our customers include Kurt Geiger, Reiss, The Range and Britvic.
Our growth engine is CAT360, our customs data analytics platform. CAT360 turns HMRC customs data into actionable intelligence, spotting overpaid duty, missed reclaims, declarant errors, and compliance gaps.
We are a small, ambitious team. There are no layers between you and the senior leadership of the business. The work you do here will visibly move the needle.
THE ROLE
This is a commercial role sitting at the heart of how Barbourne Brook takes CAT360 to market. You will own HubSpot as our primary CRM, manage the inbound pipeline, run the rhythm of our customer engagement programme, and support targeted outbound research on named accounts. The senior team own the client relationships and the commercial conversations. Your job is to make sure everything around those conversations is organised, tracked, and followed up without anything slipping.
We are looking for someone with genuine commercial curiosity: someone who wants to understand how a business generates revenue, can spot what is moving in a pipeline and what is stalling, and takes real satisfaction in making a commercial team more effective. You will cover a lot of ground. That is the point.
Working pattern: two to three days per week in our Worcester office, remainder working from home.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
HubSpot Ownership
- Own HubSpot as the business's primary CRM and pipeline management tool
- Maintain pipeline data, contact records, and activity logging to a consistent standard
- Produce the weekly pipeline report and monthly conversion metrics
- Become the internal HubSpot lead: the go-to person for system knowledge, best practice, and onboarding new users
Inbound pipeline
- Qualify inbound enquiries within 24 hours
- Manage the booking and intake process for free CAT360 assessments
- Pass qualified leads to the senior team with a complete handover note
Target account research
- Build deep research dossiers on named target accounts: declaration footprint, broker relationships, leadership, regulatory exposure
- Assemble personalised outreach packages for CCO-led senior contact
- Track outreach responses and keep the pipeline moving
Events and partner programme
- Own the events calendar: webinars, roundtables, trade shows, and sponsorships
- Coordinate all logistics end-to-end: venue, travel, materials, attendee management, follow-up
- Run the operational rhythm of our strategic partner programme
- Support our marketing retainer with event-related coordination and asset management
Customer success
- Coordinate the onboarding and renewal process for CAT360 customers: scheduling, chasing, follow-up, and making sure nothing slips. The senior team lead the substantive conversations
- Organise and coordinate regular check-ins, user groups, and insights sessions, ensuring they happen on time and are well prepared for
- Manage the renewal pipeline and proactively address churn risk
- Spot expansion opportunities and pass them to the senior team with a clear brief
- Maintain customer health records and log all interactions in HubSpot
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- HubSpot or comparable CRM experience, with the ambition to own it fully and become the internal expert
- Proven experience in a commercial role: sales operations, account management, business development support, or similar
- Experience managing or supporting a commercial pipeline: you understand what pipeline hygiene means and why it matters
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Organised and reliable across multiple workstreams without dropping detail
- Self-starter: comfortable working independently when the senior team is on the road
- Genuinely curious: you want to understand the detail, not just process it
- High energy and enthusiasm for a broad role that covers five areas simultaneously
Desirable:
- Experience in customs, logistics, international trade, or B2B SaaS
- Familiarity with Apollo, Mailchimp, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Experience coordinating events operationally
- Experience preparing account research or intelligence briefings
WHAT WE OFFER

- Company pension
- Health insurance (after 6-month qualifying period)

- The chance to join at a moment of real growth ambition
