Jem Recycling – Hygiene Operative
Based within ALPLA Packaging
Jem Recycling is looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible Hygiene Operative to join our team within the ALPLA Packaging site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across the site, working in different areas as required. This may include production areas, warehouse areas, offices, staff canteen and toilet facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general cleaning duties including sweeping, brushing, mopping, vacuuming and wiping down surfaces.
- Cleaning and maintaining designated areas throughout the site, including production, warehouse, office, canteen and toilet areas.
- Ensuring all areas are kept clean, tidy and free from waste and debris.
- Maintaining a high standard of general housekeeping.
- Following all company and site health and safety procedures.
- Using cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly.
- Reporting any hazards, maintenance issues or concerns to the line manager.
- Working as part of a team and assisting with cleaning duties wherever required.

- Comfortable working within a busy industrial and production environment.
- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
- Able to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but full training will be provided.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm
6 hours per day, including a 15-minute break.
Some flexibility around working hours may be considered for the right candidate, subject to operational requirements.

Pay: £13.23 per hour
