Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistants to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals in a residential care home. In this vital role, you will assist residents or clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their comfort and well-being. Duties
- Support residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support daily living activities and promote independence
- Help maintain a safe environment within the home
- Carry out light housekeeping duties and laundry when required
- Monitor wellbeing and report any changes promptly
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to deliver tailored support that promotes independence and dignity
- Maintain clear communication with team members, residents, or clients to address needs promptly and effectively
- Use IT systems to update records, document care activities, and track progress accurately
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as needed, ensuring safety at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Basic IT literacy for documentation and record keeping purposes
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to health and safety protocols
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
- You must be reliable, kind, patient and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
