Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Help cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.
- Support the catering team during events by setting up and serving food as required.
- Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and practices is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.

- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform tasks that require lifting or moving items as needed.
