Home-Start Wakefield & District is a charity offering valuable practical and emotional support to families with children under 12 across the Wakefield District, through our volunteer befrienders.
If you are a parent/grandparent or have childcare experience we would love to hear from you!
As a volunteer, you will have access to ongoing training for both your personal and professional development, access to volunteer social events and regular support from the Home-Start Coordinator team.
Volunteering can enable you to build your confidence, make new friends and help you start a new career - all while making a positive impact on families and children in your local community.
All volunteers are expected to complete our bespoke Volunteer Preparation Course which takes 5 weeks to complete. Volunteers must also have an Enhanced DBS check for the Child & Adult Workforce (we will apply for one on your behalf).
If you have 2-3 hours per week to spare and meet the above requirements, enquire today - 01924 251205
