Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS) is a leading local charity dedicated to supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector. Every day we work with individuals, volunteers, community groups and partner organisations to improve lives, reduce inequalities and build stronger, more connected communities.
As we continue to expand our services, we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and community-focused individuals to join our team in three exciting roles.
PA Register Lead Officer
Permanent
22.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,784 per annum (pro rata)
Lead the development and growth of our Personal Assistant (PA) Register, supporting people who receive Direct Payments to recruit Personal Assistants that enable them to live independently.
Working closely with Direct Payment recipients, Personal Assistants and partner organisations, you will manage recruitment, safer recruitment checks, promotion and ongoing support for the PA Register, develop training offers and promote Health & Social Care volunteering across Peterborough that widens opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in health and social care, employment support, community development or the voluntary sector who enjoys building partnerships, leading projects and developing services that make a lasting difference.
Development Support Officer – PA’s & Volunteers
Fixed Term until 31 August 2027 (extension funding dependent)
21 hours per week
Salary: £26,883 per annum (pro rata)
Support the continued development of our Personal Assistant Register and Go-ViP Volunteer Database by promoting opportunities, recruiting PA’s and volunteers, supporting training programmes and helping to develop innovative volunteering initiatives across Peterborough.
Working alongside the PA Register Lead and wider Volunteering Team, you will attend community events, develop promotional materials, build relationships with local organisations and help create flexible volunteering opportunities, including micro-volunteering, that meet the needs of local people.
This role would suit someone with experience in volunteering, community engagement, project support, events or the voluntary sector who is passionate about helping people make a positive contribution.
Development Support Officer – Community Wellbeing
Fixed Term until 31 August 2027 (extension funding dependent)
15 hours per week
Salary: £26,883 per annum (pro rata)
Help improve the wellbeing of local communities by supporting VCSE organisations and connecting sheltered housing residents with activities and services that reduce loneliness and social isolation.
Working alongside local organisations and community partners, you will support the capacity-building support to community groups, assist organisations to access funding and training opportunities, map local wellbeing services, develop promotional resources and encourage greater participation in community activities.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in community engagement, voluntary sector development or project support who is passionate about improving wellbeing and strengthening local communities.

Have experience working within the voluntary, community, health, social care or public sector.
Are confident using Microsoft Office, databases and digital systems.
