Bespoke Tailoring Sales and Styling (Assistant to the Co-Founder)

Full time, Tuesday to Saturday. £25,420 to £30,000 plus commission
This is a client-facing and commercial position. It is not a workshop role.
Bold, characterful and unmistakably British, Gresham Blake has been making bespoke tailoring in Brighton since 1999. Over twenty five years the brand has dressed grooms, artists, actors and individualists from its Bond Street store and its Soho showroom, alongside limited edition ready to wear collections designed in house. The role
You will work directly alongside our co-founder, learning bespoke tailoring for women and men from her while helping run her client work, her orders and her week. You will be at her side throughout, in consultation, in fitting, on the shop floor and behind the scenes. Over time you will take on your own clients, your own commission, and skills few people are trained in.

What you will do
- Sell across our bespoke and ready to wear collections and build lasting client relationships
- Support our co-founder across consultations, fittings and client appointments
- Style clients and advise them with a genuine eye for what suits them
- Make sure every order is recorded accurately, and any unusual request is raised before it reaches production
- Coordinate between our workshops so each has what it needs and the work moves cleanly between them
- Keep every order on schedule with our workshops and suppliers, and keep clients updated throughout
- Care for clients between orders, encouraging repeat business and referral
- Manage the co-founder's diary, appointments and day to day priorities
You
- A genuine passion for fashion, styling and dressing people well
- An interest in how bespoke tailoring and collections are produced
- Retail, sales or client facing experience, ideally in luxury, fashion or menswear
- A proven ability to sell and to build client relationships
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Composure, initiative and energy in a fast moving environment
- The discretion and reliability of a founder's right hand
What we offer
- £25,420 to £30,000 plus commission on personal sales
- Training in bespoke tailoring, womenswear and menswear, directly from our co-founder
- A defined path to managing your own client list, formally reviewed at twelve months
