We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive General Assistant to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is happy to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is flexible, organised and happy to support wherever needed.
The Role
As a General Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring our holiday properties and surrounding grounds are maintained to an exceptional standard for every guest.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning, servicing and maintaining hot tubs to the highest standard.
- Testing, monitoring and safely administering hot tub chemicals in line with health and safety procedures.
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs within holiday properties.
- Keeping outdoor areas clean, tidy and well-presented.
- Operating equipment such as pressure washers (jet washers) and other maintenance tools.
- Transporting clean and used linen between properties and laundry facilities.
- Removing waste and transporting it to the local recycling centre/tip as required.
- Completing property inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
- Assisting with property changeovers where required.
- Supporting the management team with a variety of day-to-day operational tasks and ad hoc duties.
- Helping ensure every guest arrives to a clean, safe and well-maintained property.
Essential Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, property, facilities or general assistant role (preferred).
- A practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
- Experience maintaining hot tubs or swimming pools, including chemical testing and water treatment, is advantageous. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Access to their own vehicle (business mileage will be reimbursed).
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable
- Basic plumbing, electrical, decorating or DIY skills.
- Experience using maintenance equipment such as pressure washers and power tools.
- Previous experience working within hospitality, holiday accommodation or property management.
