Duties
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify mechanical issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to execute repairs accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely to handle parts and components during repairs or replacements
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and tracking purposes
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring vehicle readiness for operation
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and electrical components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail during diagnostics and repairs
- Prior experience with equipment repair or automotive maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed
