Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operative to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately weighing and recording incoming and outgoing vehicles, ensuring smooth and efficient operations at our weighbridge station. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to handle materials safely will contribute significantly to maintaining the integrity of our inventory management and shipping processes. Responsibilities
- Operate the weighbridge equipment efficiently to measure vehicle loads accurately, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- record weights, vehicle details, and shipment information precisely on FRED system
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as loading, unloading, stocking, and moving goods using forklifts and mechanical tools.
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities by verifying documentation, preparing load sheets, and coordinating with drivers and warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper use of equipment including forklifts and other mechanical devices for heavy lifting and stock movement.
- Maintain detailed records of all weighings, shipments, and inventory movements in accordance with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the metal or waste industry.
- Use of FRED weighbridge software.
- Forklift ticket
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
