We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is able to operate a Centre Lathe and Vertical milling machine to join our team. The successful candidate will be quickly embed themselves into our team and share our values adapting, repairing and manufacturing the parts to keep our machinery running.
The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help develop innovative solutions for our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to apply them to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.
Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure highest levels of equipment availability. Apply continuous improvement techniques.
Working to and achieving all agreed objectives and KPI’s.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Achievement is delivered through:
- Attending and repairing plant breakdowns.
Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required in the workplace.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance tasks.
- Effective proving of equipment following any maintenance task.
- Ensuring “RCPS” techniques are being used following major plant breakdowns.
- Effectively maintain individual area of plant, including spare parts availability.
- Update PPM schedules where required.
- Adherence to Corex Health and Safety Policy
About You:
- Qualifications:
- Time served Technician, with a recognised craft or technical qualification i.e. City & Guilds /BTEC or equivalent. An understanding of PPM systems.
- Experience & Skills
- Required: A good knowledge of electrical circuits and controls including PLC’S and drives.. Understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Literate, numerate. Computer literate (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Personal Qualities: Able to prioritise, work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, a ”can do” attitude, and a determination to succeed.
- Commitment to promoting behaviours as set down by Corex . Understanding of the business needs and the impact that the person can make upon it.
- Qualifications:
