We are looking for a Benefits Realisation Lead to join our Digital transformation Programme for up to 2 years. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation's digital transformation by ensuring people, processes, and technology are aligned to deliver sustainable change. You will help maximise the benefits of digital investment and enable colleagues to confidently embrace new ways of working.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. You will be coming into this new role at an interesting time as we shape the organisation to take on the challenges of the future with the delivery of our 5-Year Plan (2026 to 2030) in support of our overall RNLI strategy 2040.
As Benefits Realisation Lead you will be responsible for ensuring that strategic programmes, projects, and change initiatives deliver measurable business benefits aligned to organisational objectives. The role provides leadership and governance across the benefits management lifecycle, from identification and planning through to tracking, reporting, and realisation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, business journey (end to end process owners) programme managers, business leaders, finance teams, and project delivery teams, you will establish robust frameworks and methodologies to define, measure, and evidence benefits. This role ensures investment decisions are supported by clear value outcomes, and the RNLI achieves the anticipated returns from our Digital transformation programme.
To be considered as our new Benefits Realisation Lead you will be someone who is committed to maintaining high standards of governance, transparency, and accountability. You will also need:
- Significant experience in benefits management, programme management, portfolio management, or business transformation environments.
- Experience developing and implementing benefits realisation frameworks and governance structures.
- Demonstrable experience of tracking and reporting strategic, financial, operational, and people-related benefits.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making at Executive level.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience interpreting complex data sets.
- Experience supporting business case development and investment appraisal activities.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Recognised qualification in Programme, Project, or Change Management (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Managing Benefits, PMP, or equivalent).
It is also desirable that you have:
- Experience within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Experience working in regulated, charity and complex corporate environments.
- Experience implementing portfolio management or PMO methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial modelling, investment evaluation, and return on investment (ROI) assessment.
