As a Preventive Quality Systems Leader, you will develop, drive, and embed a world‑class preventive quality approach across IET. You will strengthen the Business System through proactive risk management, defect prevention, and knowledge reuse across product and process lifecycles. Leveraging best practices from automotive, aerospace, and other high‑reliability industries, you will help establish scalable and practical preventive quality methodologies suited to Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO), Configure‑to‑Order (CTO), and Flow manufacturing environments.
As a Preventive Quality Systems Leader, you will be responsible for:

Developing, driving, and embedding a world‑class preventive quality approach throughout IET.

Strengthening the Business System through integrated risk management, defect prevention, and knowledge reuse.

Leveraging best practices from automotive, aerospace, and other high‑reliability industries, adapting them to Baker Hughes operating models.

Establishing and continuously improving a pragmatic, risk‑based integrated project and technical risk management framework.

Expanding understanding, capability, and rigor around:

Project FMEAs
-
System FMEAs
-
Design FMEAs
-
Process FMEAs
-
Knowledge management and lessons‑learned systems

Maximizing learning, standardization, prevention, and reuse across the enterprise.

Driving deployment and integration of:

Control Plans

Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

Process Controls

Statistical methods
-
Other preventive quality tools embedded within the Business System

Defining and deploying differentiated adoption models ranging from lightweight preventive quality approaches for lower‑risk applications to full APQP methodologies for strategic, high‑risk product lines.

Evolving and embedding an integrated Problem Solving Framework across IET, including:

Ensuring preventive quality practices remain aligned with business strategies, customer expectations, and operational priorities.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

Be Lean Six Sigma certified or actively pursuing certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt).

Have significant experience in Process Improvement and consistent application of APQP tools.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of:

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Root Cause Analysis methodologies

Be capable of developing new methodologies and approaches to improve organizational performance.

Have proven ability to analyze and resolve complex business and quality challenges.

Possess strong planning, execution, and project management skills.
