Overview
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Service Advisors to join our team at Shell Haydock (WA12 0HL).
This is a permanent role within a busy 24/7 Shell retail environment, offering a varied and fast-paced working atmosphere. The role involves serving customers, maintaining high site standards, supporting stock control, food safety, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site.
We currently have a variety of shifts available, including morning, afternoon, evening, and night shifts, making the role suitable for candidates looking for different working patterns. As the site operates 24 hours a day, flexibility is important. However, where possible, we will always try to accommodate preferred shift patterns for the right candidate.
This role would suit somebody who enjoys working with people, takes pride in maintaining standards, and is happy working as part of a team in a busy retail environment.
Duties
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Greet customers warmly and assist with enquiries or purchases
- Operate tills and payment systems accurately
- Promote in-store promotions, and other offers where appropriate
- Support with stock replenishment, merchandising, and shop-floor presentation
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and date checking
- Help maintain high food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Ensure the forecourt and customer areas remain safe, tidy, and presentable
- Report any maintenance, safety, or operational concerns promptly
- Follow all company procedures relating to health & safety, food safety, and customer service
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support smooth site operations
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, professional, and reliable approach
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Previous retail, customer service, or forecourt experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided
- Flexibility to work different shifts where required
