We are a Registered Care home who specialise in suppporting young adults with Autism, Mental health and Learning Disabilities. Our Shifts are 8am to 8pm for Day support workers and 8pm to 8am for Waking night Support workers.
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader Grade 2 to join our dedicated care team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and supervise a team providing high-quality senior care within a care home environment. As a Team Leader Grade 2, you will be instrumental in ensuring excellent care delivery, fostering a positive team atmosphere, and maintaining compliance with care standards. Your leadership will directly impact residents' well-being, creating a warm, supportive, and safe environment for all.
Duties
- Supervise and support staff to deliver compassionate, person-centered care tailored to each resident’s needs
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Lead daily team briefings to communicate priorities, updates, and motivate staff to achieve excellence in care delivery
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to senior care standards
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, performance reviews, and training to promote professional growth among team members
- Oversee the safe operation of vehicles for transportation needs, including driving residents when necessary
- Monitor the implementation of health and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for residents and staff
- Be on call for a weekend supporting either over the phone or in person, where needed
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, staff, and external professionals
- Ability to develop and oversee personalized care plans that meet individual needs and preferences
- Strong IT skills for documentation, updating records, and using care management systems efficiently
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices for transporting residents or staff when required
- Knowledge of regulatory standards governing adult social care and best practices in senior care
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and foster a positive working environment
