We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Support Manager to lead a specialist Supported Living service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex support needs. The role requires a confident and compassionate leader who can navigate challenging situations, support teams to deliver exceptional care, and work collaboratively with families, professionals, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support.

Working alongside the Operations Manager, you will lead a dedicated team committed to supporting people to live meaningful, independent lives while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and positive outcomes.
As the Registered Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led. You will provide visible leadership, create a positive and accountable culture, and empower both the people we support and your team to achieve the best possible outcomes.

This is a specialist Supported Living service supporting adults with a range of complex and individualised support needs.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of delivering personalised, therapeutic, and person-centred support, whilst confidently leading teams to respond to complex situations in a safe, proactive, and compassionate way.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers delivering high-quality, personalised support.

Take responsibility for the overall performance, quality, and compliance of the service.

Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, contractual requirements, and organisational standards.

Lead on safeguarding, incident management, risk reduction, and quality improvement initiatives.

Embed Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed approaches throughout the service.

Promote positive risk-taking whilst ensuring effective risk management practices are in place.

Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, families, healthcare professionals, social workers, advocates, and other stakeholders.

Manage recruitment, induction, supervision, performance management, and staff development.

Drive continuous improvement and service development.

Oversee audits, quality assurance processes, and action planning.

Ensure excellent record keeping and compliance with GDPR and Data Protection requirements.

Create and sustain a positive culture where colleagues feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Who We're Looking For

You will be:

An experienced and confident leader within Health and Social Care.

Comfortable making decisions in fast-paced and sometimes challenging situations.

Experienced in developing and leading high-performing teams.

Able to build credibility and confidence with professionals, families, and commissioners alike.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
-
Experience managing services supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
-
Experience supporting people with complex behaviours, mental health needs, trauma backgrounds, or forensic histories
-
Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and Positive Behaviour Support
-
Experience working within a CQC-regulated environment
-
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
-
Experience working collaboratively with commissioners and multidisciplinary teams
-
Strong IT skills and experience using digital care systems
-
Full UK Driving Licence
-
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to achieve)
