About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on HR Officer to join our team at Loch Leven's Larder.
This is a practical, operational role where you will take ownership of all day-to-day HR activities within a busy hospitality and retail environment of 85 employees. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting managers, and maintaining full compliance with employment legislation.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the detail, is confident working independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day HR operations across the business
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from managers and staff
- Lead on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and investigations
- Ensure the business remains compliant with UK employment law and HR best practice
- Manage recruitment processes, from advertising roles through to onboarding
- Prepare contracts, offer letters, and maintain accurate employee records
- Support managers with absence, performance, and employee management issues
- Maintain HR systems and provide accurate data for payroll
- Work closely with our third-party Employment Law Support when required.
- Monitor attendance and support return-to-work processes
- Help maintain a positive, professional, and well-run workplace
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven HR experience.
- Is confident managing employee relations cases independently
- Has a strong understanding of UK employment law
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Is proactive, practical, and solutions-focused
- Is comfortable working on-site and in a busy environment
- Thrives in a hands-on, operational role
