Job Summary
We are recruiting an Auxiliary Operations Operative to support our CHP operations, based primarily at the Newark site. This is a hands on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in maintaining high site standards and wants long term stability within an operational energy environment.
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and site teams, you will support the upkeep of CHP buildings, structures and operational areas, assist with fuel handling activities and play a key role in protecting assets from corrosion and deterioration.
Shift Pattern - Monday – Friday, 7:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.

Requirements
- Experience in an industrial, construction, utilities or outdoor operational role
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Confident working at height and around live plant
- Ability to use tools, equipment and machinery safely and effectively
- Telehandler and shovel loader experience essential
- Willingness to attend training and develop skills in line with business needs
- Positive, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Clear blockages on bicarb milling and monitor associated operations
- Maintain cleanliness of bicarb areas and protect plant from corrosion
- Support maintenance, refurbishment, renovation and new build projects
- Assist with fuel handling operations at Low and High Marnham sites
- Prepare groundworks including trenching and material movement
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations and structural works
- Clean drainage systems and associated pipework
- Erect safety barriers and signage where required
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, wearing correct PPE and following SOPs
- Promote a positive safety, environmental and behavioural culture
- Work cross functionally to support continuous improvement
- Maintain clear communication with site teams and management
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks required to support site operationS
