Construction Cleaner / New Build Cleaner (Employed & Self-Employed Opportunities)
Location: Sites upto 1 hour away from Wellingborough
Pay: £13.50 per hour employed / £15–£16 per hour self-employed
Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 7:00am – 3:30/4:30pm
Driving Licence: Required
CSCS: Preferred, but not essential
About the Role
We are a growing cleaning company specialising in new-build housing developments, and we're looking for reliable and hardworking Construction Cleaners to join our team.
You will be working across construction sites carrying out cleaning to prepare new homes for the next stage of the build and ultimately for handover.
This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail and wants to become part of a growing team with regular work.
Your Duties
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Build Cleans – removing protective tape, dust, debris and construction materials
- Recleans – bringing properties back to the required standard following other trades
- Sparkle Cleans – detailed final cleans ready for handover
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, floors, windows, fixtures and fittings
- Working safely and efficiently around active construction sites
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- External Window Cleaning (Occassionally)
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties
- Detail-oriented and take pride in their work
- Able to work independently when required
- Comfortable working on construction sites
- Professional and respectful towards customers, site teams and colleagues
Previous construction or new-build cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
The right attitude and reliability are just as important to us as experience.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Own transport – essential
- CSCS Card – preferred but not essential
- Able to travel to construction sites up to approximately 1 hour from Wellingborough
Don't have a CSCS Card?
That's okay.
A CSCS card is preferred, but we are willing to support the right candidate in obtaining their CSCS card.
Pay & Benefits Self-Employed
Approximately £15–£16 per hour, depending on experience and arrangement.
Employed
£13.50 per hour, plus:

Mileage
Mileage is covered for business use of your own vehicle when travelling between sites, in line with our mileage arrangements.
Working Hours
Typical working hours are:
7:00am – 3:30pm / 4:30pm
Monday to Friday.
Working hours may vary slightly depending on the site and workload.
