We have an exciting opportunity for a Practical Skills Instructor in Construction to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Stephenson College.
The practical skills instructor will teach practical skills in construction and building services, with the aim to ensure students are assessments and workforce ready.
Responsibilities of this role include;
- Deliver inspiring teaching and learning by transferring industry standard knowledge, skills and behaviours
- To coach learners attain their learning goals and meet or exceed their expectations
- Ensure the Health and Safety of students in the use of equipment, tools and resources required to develop their skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the production of teaching and learning materials and resources in the workshop environment
What we are looking for;
- Possess an industry related qualification or apprenticeship at level 3 or in relevant subject area
- Significant experience working in industry
- Experience of coaching and/or mentoring individuals in an educational or industry setting
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop / industry setting
