Your Role: Specialist Pharmacist
Take the lead in delivering safe, efficient medication services in our busy Category B local prison where your expertise truly counts.
What you'll do:
Leadership – organisation, planning and co-ordination of all pharmacy services on-site.
1:1 Patient Care – help patients to optimise their medicines by tailoring medicines and support to the individual patient needs and run pharmacy-led clinics
Controlled drugs management – work alongside the senior pharmacist to lead on all controlled drugs processes and compliance, upholding The Misuse of Drugs Act.
Oversight of DFM Pathway – lead our dependence forming medication pathway, identifying at risk patients and ensuring they are scheduled MDT reviews.
Drive quality improvement – contribute to MDTs on medication-related issues and guide colleagues on safer, more effective medication management practices
