About the Role
The Care Co-ordinator/Team leader will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the service. This is a varied role that combines office-based responsibilities with hands-on time working alongside the care team on the floor.
You will play an important role in ensuring our residents receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care, whilst supporting staff to work confidently and effectively.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available to work weekends as part of the role. You will also be required to participate in the home's on-call rota and undertake on-call duties when scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day organisation and running of the service.
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to the care team.
- Developing positive and professional relationships with residents, relatives, carers and other professionals.
- Working alongside the care team on the floor and providing hands-on care when required.
- Supporting with the on-call rota and undertaking on-call duties as required.
- Supporting the development of new areas of work and maintaining positive relationships with healthcare professionals, social services and other external agencies.
- Assisting with care assessments, reviews and the development and updating of care plans.
- Supporting the ongoing review process to ensure residents' needs are being appropriately met.
- Assisting with monthly compliance and quality audits within the home.
- Providing regular supervision, support and guidance to care staff.
- Supporting staff development, training and good practice within the service.
- Administering medication when required and supporting safe medication practices.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, dignity and person-centred practice.
- Supporting the Registered Manager with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Helping to identify areas for improvement and contributing to the continued development of Pine Lodge.
A Varied Role – Office and Floor Based
This is not solely an office-based position. The successful candidate will be expected to balance administrative and management responsibilities with regular hands-on involvement within the care environment.
You will need to be comfortable moving between office-based tasks such as audits, care planning, supervisions and administration, and working directly alongside the care team to support residents.
