Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of senior care and a compassionate approach to residents’ wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly individuals requiring assisted living, dementia care, and specialised support. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations and fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff. As well as working closely with the head office team.
Duties
- Manage the overall running of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care tailored to residents’ individual needs.
- Develop, implement and regularly review personalised care plans for residents, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to promote professional development and team cohesion.
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies and industry standards.
- Maintain effective communication with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Organise staff rotas, manage budgets and oversee administrative duties to ensure smooth operational functioning.
- Lead initiatives to improve resident satisfaction and uphold the organisation’s reputation for compassionate care.
- Promote a safe, welcoming environment that encourages independence whilst providing necessary support.
Experience
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, ideally with a background in senior or dementia care.
- Demonstrable management or supervisory experience within a care setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques, Alzheimer’s support strategies and home care services.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff teams.
- Excellent organisational skills coupled with a compassionate approach towards residents’ wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or social care are highly desirable but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience.

Pay: £36,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
