Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Community / Site Manager who thrives on bringing people together. As the face of our venue, you will oversee all aspects of the daily operation - from building a strong, active player community to delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape a brand-new facility and grow a thriving hub for racket sports in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Community & Events: Plan and run social mix-ins, taster sessions, local tournaments, and events that deliver incredible value to our players and to make padel accessible to all.
- Player Experience: Act as the welcoming face of the club, handling inquiries, feedback, and court bookings while building strong, lasting relationships across the local community.
- Site Coverage: Lead overall venue operations, ensuring the site is reliably open, fully covered during booking hours, and running smoothly.
- Facility Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and outdoor court maintenance by leading relations with site vendors.
- Reporting: Report regularly on club performance, court utilization, and player engagement to guide ongoing improvements.
Requirements
- Core Values First: High level of personal integrity, honesty, and dependability. Ensuring the site is reliably covered and operational is essential.
- All Experience Levels Welcome: Open to candidates from customer service, retail, hospitality, or community backgrounds. Specific sports management experience is not required. Graduates with limited work experience are welcomed to apply.
- Community-Minded: A natural "people person" who enjoys connecting with locals and creating an inclusive environment.
- Ownership Mindset: A proactive, "own it" attitude. You are comfortable working independently and take pride in keeping the club running seamlessly.
- Digital & Written Communication: Digitally confident using smartphones/tablets for booking apps, alongside basic proficiency in drafting emails to players and simple operational reports for directors.
- Bonus (Not Required): A general interest in health, fitness, or racket sports, or familiarity with community building.
What We Offer
- Base Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per year
- Uncapped Earning Potential: Generous overtime pay for covering additional evening slots, weekend shifts, or special events, bringing potential Total Compensation to £60,000+.
