The role of Retail Assistant will suit someone who enjoys variety at work.
You will spend time working inside the Garden Centre in our gift shop helping customers / merchandising / using the till/ speaking with customers and maintaining a tidy environment.
You should be confident to speak to customers, welcome them with a smile and conversation whilst assisting them with purchases.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to knowledgably assist customers with their purchases including approaching customers to ask if they require any further information and providing it as required.
This position will include an element of manual handling to carry out tasks such as restocking and our carry to car service.
Please note you MUST be 18 or over to apply for this position. Please do not apply if under the age of 18 as this position includes the sale of alcohol. Training on the sale of alcohol will be provided.
The position offers a minimum of 16 hours per week generally worked between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and 1-2 weekends per month. Occasional evenings may be required as part of this position.
