Full-time | Permanent | Senior Leadership Role
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven BDM to lead and grow our Industrial Services division across the UK. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving commercial performance, expanding market share, and shaping the strategic direction of the business.
Must have proven experience in selling tanker services, DISAB and vacuum equipment, and industrial services, including confined space entry and high-pressure water jetting (HPWJ) teams.
You will play a key role in developing client relationships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence across a range of specialist industrial services including drainage, high-pressure water jetting, and hazardous environment cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial strategy for the Industrial Services division, driving revenue growth and profitability
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across industrial and infrastructure sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners
- Oversee tendering, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
- Work closely with Operations to ensure efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction
- Manage and develop high-performing teams across operations and commercial functions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
- Take ownership of budgets, financial performance, and cost control across the division
- Promote the company to enhance its reputation and presence within the industry
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
About You
We’re looking for a commercially focused leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial, business development, or operational leadership role
- Strong track record of winning work and growing market share
- Experience within industrial services, drainage, waste management, or a related sector
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management abilities
- Financially astute with experience managing budgets and driving profitability
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 desirable)
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
