Melicare is a new, independent domiciliary care agency built around personal care, medication support, companionship, meal preparation, and hospital-discharge support for older adults. We're not trying to be a big network — we're trying to be genuinely excellent in one community, and we need the right person to lead that from the very start.
As our Registered Manager, you'll be the pivotal figure in getting Melicare registered, trusted, and running — not managing someone else's system, but building your own.
What you'll do:
Lead the CQC registration process from application through to the 'fit person' interview
Build our Statement of Purpose, Service User Guide, and full policy library from scratch
Recruit and train our first care workers
Oversee medicines management, safeguarding, and incident reporting
Establish care planning, risk assessment, and quality audit systems
Build referral relationships with GPs, social workers, and hospital discharge teams
Take the lead on quality — aiming for a "Good" or higher CQC rating from day one
Qualifications:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
Substantial domiciliary/home-care experience
Strong current knowledge of CQC standards and the registration process
Right to work full-time in the UK

Pay: Up to £45,000 (pro rata to hours)
