Job Title: Housekeeping Manager
Accountable to: Home Manager
Candidates will need to be aged 18+ and be able to provide documents for an enhanced DBS check. We do not provide sponsorship so full right to work in the UK is required.
The Purpose of the Role
Under the supervision of the Home Manager, lead a team to ensure the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene within the home and a clean, well presented and well maintained supply of clothing for all residents, and linen for the home, is available.
Main Job Activities and Responsibilities
Oversee all duties of the domestic and laundry staff
Work as part of the domestic/laundry staff teams as needed.
Make up duty rotas for cleaning and laundry staff
Under the supervision of the Home Manager, carry out annual staff appraisals for domestic and laundry staff.
Conduct Quarterly staff supervisions and personal development plan
Under the supervision of Home Manager, organize sufficient levels of materials and supplies for cleaning and /or laundry staff, whilst being mindful of budgetary control. Operate a sufficient stock control system.
Under the supervision of the Home Manager, participate in the audit for laundry and/or domestic sections.
Assist in keeping the care environment clean, tidy and hazard free, e.g. cleaning of equipment and safe disposal of waste.
Ensure that the Company policy on infection control is adhered to at all times.
Ensure that the Company policy on Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is
adhered to.
Assist in the recruitment of staff
Induct new starters in accordance with company policy
Lead, motivate and direct staff
Ensure accurate, legible records are kept
Supervise all specialist or contract cleaners operating in the Home
Prepare, agree and implement cleaning schedules for daily, weekly and less frequent operations

Pay: £30,160.00 per year
