We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Casual Greenskeeper to join our grounds maintenance team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the outdoors, takes pride in high-quality manual work, and doesn't mind beating the sun to the clock.
We are looking for a reliable and friendly casual team member for a maximum of 36 hours per week, working primarily between 6:00am and 2:30pm. The successful candidate must be able to drive and, ideally, have some previous experience in a similar role. Weekend availability is essential, particularly mornings between 6:00am and 9:00am. Key Responsibilities
- Turf Maintenance: Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and surrounds using various pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
- Bunker Care: Raking and edging bunkers to ensure they are consistent and presentable.
- General Maintenance: Basic weeding, debris clearing, and assisting with irrigation tasks as required.
- Equipment Care: Cleaning and basic daily checks on machinery to ensure safe operation.
Essential Requirements
- Early Morning Starts: You must be willing and able to start as early as 5:30 AM / 6:00 AM. Early starts are critical to ensure the course is prepared before the first golfers arrive.
- Weekend Availability: Consistent availability for Saturday and Sunday shifts is a must.
- Physical Fitness: This is a physically demanding role that involves walking long distances, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliability: You are the "first responder" for the course; punctuality is non-negotiable.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for maintaining the aesthetic and functional standards of the turf.
Preferred Skills (Not Essential)
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or sports turf maintenance.
- Experience operating small machinery or ride-on mowers.
