Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials From various locations, ensuring timely collections while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, mechanical knowledge, and effective communication skills. The Driver will play a vital role in supporting our operations through efficient and safe transportation.
Responsibilities
- Manual Collection/Loading: Manually moving and emptying various types of waste plastic Collecting specific materials, in this case, uPVC waste, as part of a dedicated recycling stream
- Operate company vehicles, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition.
- manually Load and unload materials safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Communicate effectively with clients, and team members regarding collection schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of collections, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines during transportation activities.
- Assist with yard duties as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures specific to the UK.
- Experience with delivery driver routes and logistics planning.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
