Your next role
We are looking for a skilled Performance Analyst to play a key role in strengthening performance insight across Children’s Services. You will design and deliver high‑quality performance reports and dashboards, providing clear, timely intelligence to senior managers, service leaders and the regulator. Working across the full Children’s Social Care performance framework, you will oversee the analysis and reporting of KPIs, statutory returns and operational metrics, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate priorities. You will be central to embedding a strong performance culture and supporting continuous service improvement.
About you
You will bring strong analytical skills, advanced experience in Power BI and Excel, and the ability to turn complex data into compelling insights through clear visualisation and storytelling. Confident working both independently and collaboratively, you will build effective relationships with colleagues and partners, influence decision‑making, and support performance reviews and benchmarking activity. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of performance management frameworks and data quality, and ideally some knowledge of Children’s Social Care, you will be motivated by using data to drive real‑world improvements for residents and services.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 month maternity cover.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
The team operates a hybrid working model with all officers expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days per week.
