Personal Assistant (female) wanted. I am a young wheelchair user looking for a reliable, professional/mature female PA to join my crazy team ! Duties include personal care, daily routines, light house tasks, appointments, and getting out and about. My current PA is leaving in September, so I am looking for an immediate start. Because of the nature of my physical disability, I need someone who is willing to understand my individual needs. Someone who is: patient, kind hearted, adaptable, and committed to providing high-quality person-centred care. You would need excellent spoken and written English, and a full UK driving licence. You would need your own car that is suitable for carrying my manual wheelchair. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and dressing to promote independence and comfort.
- Develop and follow tailored care plans that address specific needs related to Cerebral Palsy and mobility requirements.
- Support transportation needs, including driving the individual to appointments or outings safely and reliably.
- Communicate effectively with the individual, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment that fosters well-being and security.
- Use IT tools to document care activities accurately and update progress reports regularly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental health and overall happiness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home care or working with individuals with disabilities, especially Cerebral Palsy preferred.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating a vehicle for transportation needs.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly.
- Knowledge of care plans, personal hygiene routines, and mobility assistance techniques.
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful approach toward clients.
- Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions precisely.
