Operations Support Team Leader
Northants Squad Ltd – Corby, Northamptonshire
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Operations Support Team Leader to join our growing cleaning and property maintenance business.
This is a key operational role within the company. You will be responsible for coordinating our day-to-day workload, supporting our field-based teams, overseeing operational administration and ensuring jobs progress efficiently from initial instruction through to completion and invoicing.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance workloads
- Schedule operatives and manage diaries
- Allocate new jobs and monitor outstanding works
- Ensure jobs are progressed and completed within required timescales
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and operatives
- Provide clients with progress updates and ETAs
- Monitor our job-management systems and ensure records remain accurate
- Check job sheets, completion photographs and supporting documentation
- Support the quoting and invoicing process
- Identify outstanding actions and follow them through to completion
- Deal with operational problems and changes throughout the working day
- Support and oversee members of the Operations Support team
- Maintain high standards of customer service and compliance
- Escalate issues appropriately while taking ownership of matters that can be resolved independently
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Calm and solution-focused when plans change
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Confident using computer-based systems and Microsoft Office
- Experienced in supervising or supporting other team members
Experience within facilities management, property maintenance, housing, cleaning, construction or another fast-paced service operation would be highly advantageous.
This is not simply an administrative position. You will be helping to coordinate a busy operational business, so we need somebody who naturally looks ahead, identifies what needs doing and follows things through.
