Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 11+ English Exam Practitioner/Teacher to join our education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and supporting students preparing for the 11+ entrance examinations, with a focus on English and Verbal Reasoning skills.
The role involves delivering engaging lessons, helping students develop strong comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, creative writing, and verbal reasoning skills, and preparing them confidently for the 11+ exam process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality 11+ English and Verbal Reasoning lessons.
- Teach students exam techniques, comprehension strategies, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create engaging learning materials and practice exercises.
- Support students in building confidence and achieving their academic goals.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress where required.
Requirements:
- Experience teaching English at primary/secondary level, preferably with 11+ exam preparation.
- Strong knowledge of the 11+ English and Verbal Reasoning curriculum.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to motivate and support students of different abilities.
- Relevant teaching qualifications or experience preferred.
Pay: £25.00-£45.00 per hour
