Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly to ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and following recipes under supervision
- Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management to reduce waste
- Serve food to guests or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support team members during busy periods by performing various kitchen duties as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving supplies
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to food safety regulations
- Previous experience in meal preparation or culinary roles is a plus but not mandatory
