Role: Practitioner / Senior Practitioner
Salary negotiable based on experience - Starting from £13p/h
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Purpose:
We’re looking for someone who’s motivated to work alongside Senior Management, nursery staff, and the wider nursery community to provide a space where children can truly thrive and reach their full potential and beyond.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To keep records of children’s progress through their learning and progress development reports, and to be able to communicate effectively with parents, children and colleagues
- To work alongside professionals such as health visitors, SALT etc.
- Implement the keyworker system and to have key children
- Be confident in implementing procedures for dealing with disclosures, reporting and recording of any safeguarding matters in regards to the children’s or colleagues welfare.
- Ensure that health and safety standards, alongside other nursery policies and procedures, are upheld to maintain a secure and safe environment
- Support the children’s holistic development through; (1) Being involved in their learning and play (2) Promoting a healthy lifestyle (3) Group working and key worker time
- Plan activities for both indoors and outdoors that are age appropriate and that challenge the children to be curious and ask questions.
- Demonstrate leadership through promoting good practices and showing initiative
Expectations:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in early years
- Experience in an early years setting, ideally with leadership experience
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Successfully complete all DBS checks
